Some folks have informed me that they have had trouble posting comments on this blog. So I'm posting some tips that I hope will be helpful.
First, after much thought, I have decided against allowing annonymous posts. As a result, the Blogger interface requires folks who want to post a comment to log in with a user ID before commenting.
I suggest that you log in BEFORE you start typing your comment. If you type a long comment and something goes wrong when you try to log in your text may (ahem, probably will) be lost. To avoid this, I suggest that you log in FIRST, type your comment, then, BEFORE you hit the send button, copy and paste your work into Word or Typepad to save your work in case something goes wrong.
Now, a few words about logging in.
First, if you have a Google account, you can select "Google" from the drop-down menu and then respond to the prompts to log in with your Google username and password.
If you don't have a Google account, you can either sign up for one (it's free) or you can log in using the OpenID drop down menu option. OpenID is a cross-platform system that allows you to log in using your ID and password from many common domains. the most common OpenID URL is www.yahoo.com, but more are listed at: .
So how do you log in using OpenID? First, see which of the URL's is one that you have an account with. For this example, lets assume you have a Yahoo account. To sign in, select the OpenID drop-down, and enter "www.yahoo.com" at the prompt for "OpenID URL". You will then be prompted to enter your Yahoo username and password. Do it, and shazam! You are now logged in! Now you can enter your comment post it.
I hope this was helpful.
